It was OK. Perhaps I had higher expectations.

Had read about the service in this restaurant was not great but all in all the service was great . Although the food tasted like Indian food which is a first. Some of the dishes tasted the same so really no point ordering the variety . The food is way way way over priced for what it is . The deserts weren’t to bad. Overall wouldn’t go back it’s a okay just not worth the value

Nice place and lovely food. Service is good. However, it is pretty pricey.

I have had, lovely meal with with my friends. Food was lovely, and so were the staff. Excellent food and excellent service. Thanks to you all 😊😊

Attending an event here on the 2nd level. It is such a lovely spacious venue PLUS the food on the day was delicious. Indian canapés with a fusion twist but losing none of the delicious Indian spices and flavours. Will definitely return to eat in the restaurant

I live in Leicester and Five Rivers is my favourite fine dining Indian restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic. Personal favourite is the chilli chicken and methi chicken. The ambience is lovely. Great setting for a restaurant. Great choice of drinks, both alcohol and non alcoholic.

Very good service and polite staff

Loved it but was confused over the service charge on the bill. We didn't leave a tip so the staff didn't look happy when we left but the charge was £22

My go to restaurant. Have been here a number of times for work events and meals. Great customer service and food is always delicious. Highly recommend

Lovely food, great atmosphere however I don't agree with the mandatory service charge that is automatically added. Four of us dined and our bill came to £330 but when I looked £30 of that was a service charge. You should be given a choice to add a tip not forced to do it.

Good food in a pretty modern ambience. I went here for a party and was pleasantly surprised at the level of care the staff took even though we were a large group.

My wife and I got married in August 2021 at Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham.<br>We found out that the full booking of the venue and catering is done via the catering company themselves who were Five Rivers.<br>We initially were in contact with Hemma who helped us with our initial enquiries and quotes as well as information about the venue itself.<br>I would say this is the only small gripe that I had where questions about the venue (especially more obscure ones) would have to be relayed back to the actual venue themselves on occasion and then wait for a response. This is not a fault on Five Rivers as they have many venues under their portfolio but please be mindful of this as it is worth having your own rapport with your venue as well (i.e. I had to manage hotel bookings, parking etc with the venue directly).<br>After discussing the options available and associated costs we signed an agreement and booked a tasting session which would be handled by Ravi as the head catering manager (who would also manage our wedding day itself) and be our main point of contact going forward.<br>At the tasting at the Five Rivera restaurant, we met Ravi who was very approachable and helpful whilst discussing the plans for the day.<br>We then sat down for the tasting session which was amazing, trying dishes from the extensive menu options that were intriguing to us (some really interesting dishes and takes on traditional Indian recipes were available so I do recommend you branch out - Beetroot Halwa for example was lovely and we chose it for our wedding dessert!)<br>Once we finalised on the menu we were happy with we proceeded with the booking.<br>Ravi was also really knowledgeable about the order of the day, transitioning from ceremony to reception and drinks requirements and how the bar would be managed (please listen to what he says).<br>On the wedding day itself, we did run into some delays with the ceremony which caused some frustration with ourselves and our families but Ravi could not have been more helpful and really supported us by keeping our guests happy during the afternoon.<br>He and his team managed and coordinated a quick turnaround for the evening reception (less than 2hrs)<br>From the moment we entered for our reception we experienced a first class service from Ravi and his team who delivered on speed of service /professionalism and were attentive to our guests' needs.<br>The food all tasted amazing and we had no complaints at all (Which is a big thing for an Indian wedding). We were even told by family members who were initially skeptical about the menu we had chosen that they had never enjoyed better food at a wedding before (is it possible to get better complements at an Indian wedding??).<br>Much like the rest of our suppliers. Ravi and team went above and beyond for us and my wife and I are so grateful for what they did.<br>I would have no hesitation in recommending the service offered by Five Rivers and Ravi to anyone that is lucky enough to book one of their assigned venues.<br>Thanks again.<br>Prokash and Namita

Fine Dine restaurant serving curries mainly (Punjabi). Great friendly & attentive staff, good service.

What a wonderful evening. Food was amazing, atmosphere wonderful. Service from all the staff was so thoughtful especially our waiter Ayas Ali, his attention to detail was 1st class.

The food is ok but nothing special. Prices are high. The restaurant is nice inside.

Taken here for a birthday meal and it didn’t disappoint! We were served by the lovely Bianca - she couldn’t have been more attentive! The food was incredible and will definitely keep this in mind for future special occasions

Yet again another fabulous night at this gem of a restaurant, food is simply fantastic and is only matched by the quality and service of all of their staff, Ayas was our waiter for the evening, he was knowledgeable, courteous and couldn't do enough for us made our evening very memorable, so a big Thank you to him, booking is advised as it is busy, understandably, on a different note we tried the cocktails for the first time on Saturday and I can only say they are a must if your not driving. Will definitely see you soon

I read the mixed reviews and was not sure whether to visit. Ignore the negative reviews and take with a pinch of salt, not sure what people expect. Excellent recent visit to this restaurant. Food is excellent, very tasty food and just the right amount. Service is also very good, ambience is also very nice. The price is fine, I would say on par with Dishoom in terms of price, but Five Rivers is more upmarket and classy. The only downsides were being charged for poppadoms which should be complimentary (regardless of restaurant) and lack of parking onsite, but car park is 2 mins away and free after 6 (Mountrath Steet car park, WS1 3LY). Apart from that an excellent place to visit for special occasions.
