What do you think of it so far?

If I slap my thigh one more time I will end up with a permanent injury, but I just can't help doing it each time I ask my other half what he wants for tea. This he doesn't seem to mind, it's the fact that I keep bellowing "It's behind you!" to our increasingly fraught postman that is apparently embarrassing - astonishing.

You can always tell the festive countdown has begun when a certain fizzy drink advert comes on tringling that 'holidays are coming' (why the town featured in the ad is only allowed said beverage at Christmas is beyond me, but maybe the town is run by a dental consortium.)

You can also tell Christmas is on its way when the posters for local pantos go up, and as usual Tunbridge Wells and Southborough will be hosting two classics.

Ooh I can't wait!
And neither can my partner - until it's all over he says. Humbug.
(He'll be hollering with the best of them when we go, he's just too 'cool' to admit it)
