Eating Out Treat

It was my birthday last week, and I was lucky enough to be treated to no less than two meals out in our local pub, The Camden Arms in Pembury.

A pub lunch and a pub dinner in one week? Now, sadly that doesn't happen to me very often!  (oh how times have changed since the invention of children)

Anyway, I happily made the most of both occasions, and as usual The Camden was a thoroughly pleasant place to eat out.

The service wasn't quite as polished at the evening meal as it has been in the past, and my starter wasn't as hot as it could have been, but everything else was fine.
The food was delicious, both for the simpler pub lunch options and the evening dishes, and the atmosphere was very relaxed as usual.

Their lunch menu Chilli Jacket Potato was as usual worth every penny, although I think I'd have liked a mountain of coleslaw with it, but that's just my preference!

One of the reasons we like The Camden Arms is that it's within walking distance for us, but should you be driving, it has a very large car park with ample spaces. The pub garden makes it ideal for this kind of weather, and children too, and they have excellent hotel facilities - although living locally we haven't had the need to try these!

For eating out, a convivial drink, or even somewhere to stay in Tunbridge Wells, The Camden Arms is an excellent choice, and one I'd happily recommend.
