Easy Peasy Ice-Lollies
3rd August 2010
... Comments

Care of my little girl's copy of her Peppa Pig comic this week, I'd like to share a very easy recipe for making ice-lollies this summer.

Let's face it, if the weather in August is as hot as parts of June and July, it won't just be the little ones who'll benefit!

Credit goes entirely to the makers of Peppa Pig's comic - I've borrowed this recipe unashamedly becasue it looks so fruity, tasty and simple.

Ingredients:

80g raspberries
200g strawberries
100ml natural yoghurt
100ml milk

Not forgetting the ice-lolly moulds

Chop up the strawberries and put all the ingredients into a blender, mixing until smooth. If you want to remove the seeds, put the puree through a sieve - otherwise just leave them  in.

Pour the mixture into ice-lolloe moulds and freeze overnight - yum...

Don't forget to use local produce where possible - especially with the fruit right now. Even more satisfying if you've picked them yourself from a local farm.

And after seeing an advert on television recently, my other half and I are eagerly awaiting the return of the Soda Stream! Bring on retro fizzy drinks.
