The businesses – Harding Lewis Limited, Financial Options and Quayles Estate Agents came up with their very own take on the ever popular online game ‘Angry Birds’ where members of the public were invited to knock the ‘golden pig’ off his perch with the aid of a catapulted ‘angry bird. Those who managed successful shots had their names put into a draw to win an Ipad which was drawn after The Royal. Of course no real animals were involved! All pigs and birds were of the soft and cuddly stuffed toy variety! The winner of the IPad was James Cochrane, aged 22 from Ramsey and he is pictured below with Andrew Gerrard receiving his prize. The game was a great success and queues quickly formed as eager contestants waited for their turn. All ages got involved with contestants from toddlers to senior citizens taking part. The game raised a total of £2077.00 which will be divided between the following charities:- The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) Hospice (IOM) Ltd Peel & District Support Group The Manx Workshop for the Physically Disabled. Pictured are staff from Harding Lewis, Quayles Estate Agency, Financial Options and thebestof The Isle of Man presenting one of the cheques to local charity Manx Workshop for the Disabled.
