Britain's No.1 snow sports athlete and Manx-born Olympian, Zoe Gillings and PDMS, the Isle of Man's largest software developer, are teaming up with The Children's Centre to launch the Adventure Team Challenge 2010 on 20th May 2010, 12-30pm to 13-30pm, at the charity's headquarters located at 94 Woodbourne Road in Douglas.

Mark Eastham, fundraising coordinator, for The Children's Centre said, “We
are excited to announce that Zoe Gillings is helping us to launch this
year’s Adventure Team Challenge. With her experience and success in
competing at the highest level of sport as part of the GB Olympic team, Zoe
is an excellent and inspiring example for challenge participants. We’d like
to invite anyone who is interested in taking part in this unique event to
come along to the launch to find out more.”

The Adventure Team Challenge, taking place on 25 September 2010, is the
Island's biggest corporate team development event. For the past eight years,
companies and organisations have entered teams to boost performance through adrenaline-filled activities such as mountain biking, abseilling, raft
building and code cracking.

PDMS is the primary sponsor of the Adventure Team Challenge. Director Bruce
McGregor said, “As well as it being a most enjoyable and challenging fun
day, our company has always derived value from participating in the
Adventure Team Challenge. We are really looking forward to this year's
challenge and are delighted that Zoe Gillings is going to be at the launch
event to support The Children's Centre.”

The Adventure Team Challenge attracts about 20 teams from across the IT,
banking, retail, finance, public and third sectors.  Teams are tested
physically and strategically by participating in a series of challenges that
demonstrate their ability to:

-communicate clearly
-make decisions
-lead
-work well together under pressure.

Challenges are designed with business people in mind; no specialist athletic
skills or conditioning is required. The cost of entering a team of five is
£600 with discounts on offer for entering two or more teams.
