KING WILLIAM'S COLLEGE PREPARES TO WELCOME INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXPERT

One of the UK's most respected International Education experts will be guest of honour at the 176th annual King William's College Founder's Day ceremony, which will take place at the end of this month.

On 30th May, Dr Mary Hayden, Director of the Centre for study of Education in an International Context (CEIC) at the University of Bath, will address members of the school, Common Room, parents and specially invited guests.

During her career to date, Dr Hayden has written five leading books exploring various themes around the subject of international education and is highly experienced in the International Baccalaureate which is taught at King William's College in place of traditional A-Levels. As well as directing the Welsh Baccalaureate Internal Evaluation Project, she is Senior Lecturer on the MA Education, and the Philosophy and Education Doctorate degree programmes at the University of Bath.

Dr Sarah Welch, Principal of King William's College, commented: "I am very much looking forward to welcoming Dr Mary Hayden to the Isle of Man later this month. With her extensive background in international education, it is very fitting that she will be addressing such a wide, international audience.

"As one of the most respected professionals in her field, Dr Hayden is an inspiring speaker and I am particularly keen to hear what she has to say about her experience of the International Baccalaureate which is taught here at King William's College. I am sure her talk will be extremely thought-provoking for all of our guests on Founders Day."
