It is now set to benefit from The Co-operative’s 100,000 staff putting fun into fundraising to raise the money needed to reduce the feeling of isolation and provided desperately needed breaks, information, advice and support for young adults living with the challenges of caring. The Co-operative’s partnership with Carers Trust will work to transform the lives of the UK’s young carers – people communities who are more than twice as likely no to be in education, employment or training and many of which, have not taken a break of two days or more since they started caring. The Co-operative Isle of Man will be launching with a theme carers are rock stars in the branch’s Duke Street, Douglas store on Thursday 24th January, from 10:00, with fancy dress, in-store collections and other promotions. As network member of the Carers Trust, all funds raised on island will benefit Crossroads Care Isle of Man. Funds raised locally will provide care hours for the charity’s Young Carers’ project and training placements for young people who are NEET.
