It's a proud Isle of Man this morning!  Our very own Mark Cavendish was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year last night at a glittering ceremony at Media City in Salford.

'The Manx Missile' received nearly 50% of the telephone vote.

We are sure everyone on the island will be raisng a glass to our very own Cav today and over the Christmas holidays!
