A local Shropshire pub has won Pub of the Season held by the local branch of CAMRA.

The Huntsman of Little Wenlock, on the outskirts of Telford, was voted the winner in the 2017 ‘Pub of the Season for Winter’. The Pub of the Season award is presented each quarter by the Telford and East Shropshire branch of CAMRA, which includes Bridgnorth and Market Drayton.

CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) supports well-run pubs at the centre of community life, of which The Huntsman of Little Wenlock is a shining example; the pub is owned by a local Shropshire family, and is proud to offer the best of local ales and produce combined with excellent service.

Owner and local businessman Peter Morris said: "We are delighted to have been awarded CAMRA Pub Of The Season. Well done to all the team here at The Huntsman for maintaining such high standards.

"Thank you to all of our customers who voted for us and for their ongoing support."

Peter Morris extensively renovated The Huntsman of Little Wenlock back in 2011 when he reopened the once forgotten pub during the last week of November. Now the pub is an outstanding pub and restaurant which serves not only great beers, ales and wines, but is renowned in the area for its exceptional food and well appointed accommodation.
