The ABC Day Nursery based at Hadley is relocating. The nursery is based within Hadley Learning Community but will move to a new area of the school site during the first weekend of July.
Staff will be hard at work after the nursery shuts at 6pm on Friday July 1, to get the new site ready to open the doors as usual at 7.45am on the Monday.
The move will see the introduction of a separate staff room and meeting room, children gaining their own exclusive play area and a new entrance just for the nursery children.
The youngsters have previously used the main school entrance and then walked down the corridor to their setting but nursery bosses said the new ABC entrance would be much better for the children.
Current and prospective parents will be invited to join staff and little ones to see the changes at an official open day in September.
ABC Day Nursery owner Penny Hustwick said: “The move has come about as the school needed more space for their increasing numbers of children but it is an extremely positive one for ABC as it will give our children their own identified area.
“The new separate entrance will be much more inviting to the children, as they will not have to walk in through the big school entrance which can be a little daunting, especially for the younger ones.
“It will be an extremely busy weekend for all of us as we have three new rooms to complete - baby, toddler and pre-school - but it will be more than worth it to see the children’s reactions on the Monday.
“We are confident this exciting move will ensure the children continue to enjoy the very best facilities and the same high standards in a caring and welcoming environment.”
