Around 200 representatives from local businesses and organisations joined staff from FBC Manby Bowdler at its service in Shrewsbury School’s Chapel on December 10.

FBC Manby Bowdler has offices in Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth, and organises the event every year to mark the start of the festive season and support the hospice.

The firm’s choir played a starring role in the festivities, leading the singing during the service and performing at the reception that followed.

The 25-strong choir is made up of partners, solicitors, paralegals and administrative and support staff. It meets once a month to practice its repertoire, which covers a mix of genres from traditional Christmas carols to gospel inspired mash-ups.

Senior Partner Niall Blackie said: “The carol service is one of the highlights in the FBC Manby Bowdler calendar and we were delighted to have so many clients, staff and their families joining us for the festive occasion.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support of this charity, which does such important work in providing free specialist care to people with progressive illnesses and their families.”

FBC Manby Bowdler also has offices in Wolverhampton and Willenhall.
