Business groups using the Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin were presented with their own personalised perspex logos displayed on the new wall of fame at the facility to celebrate National Growth Hub Week.

The wall was installed to recognise the partner businesses and organisations that have collaborated since the initial launch of the hub at the Telford Innovation Campus.

The featured organisations include Wolverhampton University, Telford Business Board, UKTI and Telford & Wrekin Council with room to add more organisations to the wall as they come on board.

The Marches Growth Hub is an initiative delivered by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership aligned with the national BusinessisGREAT campaign.

The hub is one in a network of three in the Marches area and offers face-to-face advice via business support advisors, which support its online, telephone and email services.

More than 7,000 people have engaged with the Marches Growth Hub through its services or at events since its launch.

Several business focused groups are using the Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin as their new ‘hubquarters’ and making full use of the advanced technology on offer at the state of the art facility in Priorslee.

Established national organisations like Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) host monthly networking meetings there. It plays host every Thursday to representatives from UKTI and Wolverhampton University’s Built Environment Climate Change Innovations Programme.

Paul Hinkins, Chairman of the Marches Growth Hub, said: “The wall of fame is a symbol of the collaborative working that has ensured the success of the Marches Growth Hub from the outset.

“The support of the business community has quickly established the hub and its services as the go-to network for advice and support, whether you’re a business start up that needs funding advice or employing several hundred people and searching for training information.

“We look forward to welcoming more organisations to the wall of fame as they come on board.”

As well as the core virtual hub, employers can access a dedicated Employer Skills Search website developed to help businesses find information on apprenticeships and training available from providers in the Marches.
