Telford & Wrekin Council would like to bring your attention to the following new and exciting business opportunities;

Telford & Wrekin Council has launched the Small Business Loan Fund to provide sustainable financial lending for new and existing businesses and social enterprises.

Working in partnership with Impetus- a community development financial institution – it is aimed at helping businesses that need finance when mainstream funding sources such as High Street Banks are unable to help. Through the Telford & Wrekin Small Business Loan Fund, loans are being made available from £1,000 to £100,000.

Businesses or social enterprises wishing to apply for funding will need to produce a viable business plan as well as providing evidence that they have attempted to source funding from a bank.

The £1.5 million Marches Redundant Building Grant Scheme aims to provide grant support to enable the conversion or refurbishment of redundant buildings, to bring them back into productive economic use or to enhance their current business use. Grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 are available and will cover up to 30% of eligible costs. Please note that funding cannot be used to assist with residential conversion or buildings converted for agriculture or horticultural uses.

Applications are welcome from existing and start up businesses located within Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Herefordshire or locating to the region. This includes individuals, partnerships, limited companies and co-operatives.

The scheme is endorsed by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and administered by Herefordshire Council.
