If you have been contacted via telephone, or email informing you that there is a new British Standard for first aid kits, you need to be aware that there is NO legal requirement to throw away your existing first aid kit, some suppliers would have you believe there is. The content of the new BSI Standard kits is far more practical and does fit the needs of modern first aid treatment, so if you are replacing your kits, it is advisable to buy the new version, although it is more expensive.
