More than 50 guests had the chance to see the splendid new look at Ramada Telford Ironbridge for themselves at a special showcase event.

Ramada Telford Ironbridge is owned by the Southwater Event Group – owners of The International Centre, Telford – and the showcase was the first opportunity for guests to see the venue’s facilities following a major rebrand.

Chief Executive, Tom Gray, said: “We rebranded the hotel to increase its prominence in the local market, and we hosted the showcase to give our guests the chance to see what changes have been made.

“We also unveiled our plans to refurbish the main reception area with work starting later this year, and will begin refurbishing the bar and restaurant in the next few months.”

The venue was previously known as Grays Hotel, and since the rebrand, extensive work has already been carried out to transform all 90 bedrooms, as well as changes to the conference and function rooms.

“Our guests on the day were given tours of the refurbished bedrooms by General Manager Mel Stanton and her team, and the reaction to the improvements so far has been extremely positive,” said Tom.

“We believe the Ramada brand fits in perfectly with our existing reputation for style, comfort and superb customer services, and that it sits very comfortably alongside our other hotels – The International Hotel and The Holiday Inn

“We’re now looking forward to the Christmas season and to welcoming both new and previous guests to the new-look hotel during what is traditionally our busiest time of year.”

Ramada is part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, with over 7,410 hotels worldwide, and guests at the Telford hotel will now be eligible for the Wyndham Rewards programme where valuable points for stays can be redeemed against a variety of rewards including airline travel, event tickets, gift certificates and restaurants.
