Ramada Hotel Telford / Ironbridge celebrates a happy 1st birthday!
The owners of the Ramada Telford Ironbridge hotel have declared themselves delighted with progress as the brand celebrates its first anniversary in the town.
The 90-bed hotel is owned by the Southwater Event Group, parent company of the town’s International Centre. It was formerly known as Grays Hotel before its rebrand last year.
Chief executive Tom Gray said: “We rebranded the hotel to increase its prominence in the local market, and we are delighted with the reputation it has forged over its first year. The Ramada brand fits in perfectly with our existing reputation for style, comfort and superb customer service, and it sits very comfortably alongside our other hotels, The International Hotel and The Holiday Inn."
Ramada is part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, which has more than 7,400 hotels worldwide. It means that guests at the Telford hotel are eligible for the Wyndham Rewards programme, where points for stays can be redeemed against a variety of rewards including air travel, event tickets, and restaurants.
General Manager Mel Stanton said: “We have invested heavily in upgrading the hotel over the past year, and that policy is set to continue. Our bedroom refurbishment programme is almost complete, there is a new reception area, and there are also plans in place to fully refit the restaurant and bar. We have the benefit of an international brand, merged with the track record and experience of a respected family-owned business. I am immensely proud of the excellent levels of service we achieve, and our partnership with Ramada ensures that there are very exciting times ahead.”
