A Shropshire company has signed a deal to stock some of the most exclusive cookers on the market. QA Ironbridge Limited has been in business for almost 30 years and is the largest independent manufacturer of kitchen and bedrooms cabinets in the area. And now, the firm has joined forces with AGA to complement its range of services with the well-known products.
The kitchen specialists have installed AGA Rangemaster cookers at their showrooms in Wellington and Newport, and they are also planning to host cookery demonstrations using the renowned stoves. Manager of QA Kitchens in Wellington, Rachael Hollis, said: “We’re delighted to be working so closely with a company as iconic as AGA and our customers have been very impressed with their products. Their cookers sit perfectly alongside the high quality units that we design, manufacture and install, and joining forces with such a renowned brand is a great coup for us.”
Heather Taylor, manager of the AGA Factory Shop, in Ketley, said: “We’re very pleased that QA Kitchens have chosen our products for their showroom displays, and we’re looking forward to working with them to create some truly amazing kitchens.”
The world’s first heat-storage cooker was invented in 1922 – a cast iron cooker capable of every kind of cooking simultaneously through its two large hotplates and two ovens. By 1929, manufacturing was under way at the AGA Heat Limited factory in Smethwick. There are now over 70 AGA shops across the UK displaying a selection of products including classic AGA range cookers, conventional cookers, stoves and cookware.
QA Ironbridge Limited employs around 70 people and has a fleet of 18 vehicles. It provides design, manufacturing, installation services for both private clients and commercial customers including house builders, sports clubs, holiday parks, and local authorities and housing associations.
