Kind-hearted staff at a local law firm flew the flag and helped to raise nearly £200 for a Telford hospital at their own event to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The team at PCB Solicitors each donned patriotic colours and made a donation to mark their special “Red White and Blue” day on 1st June, with all funds collected in aid of the Cardio-Respiratory Department at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
“All the staff wanted to do something a bit special to mark Her Majesty’s 60 years on the throne, so we came up with the idea for everyone to wear their finest red, white, or blue outfits to show our support,” Julie Tipton, Archivist at PCB Solicitors, explained. “The money so generously donated will be put towards helping the hospital to buy much-needed new heart monitors, an incredibly important cause and one that has actually impacted the lives of many of our team here.
“A child of one of our members of staff recently needed to be fitted with a heart monitor to undergo some tests, but had to wait a few days before one became available. Hopefully our donation will help the hospital to purchase additional monitors, so that patients can be seen as quickly as possible.”
