It's time to get fruity! Why not pick your own?

When Peter Andre split with Jordan what better photo opportunity could there be to show what a great dad he still is than to get down to his nearest fruit picking farm?

But taking the kids to enjoy a summer fruit farm experience isn't just the preserve of celebrities. There's a wealth of great venues throughout Shropshire to get down and dirty with the blossoming fruits.

As Wimbledon approaches, many of us will be turning our attention to strawberries and cream -- but those you pick from our local Shropshire farms will be much more reasonably priced than the berries jostling for pride of place under the noses of the likes of Sue Barker and Sir Cliff.

Picking strawberries and other fruits – and vegetables – with your children is a great way of making memories that last a lifetime – and it doesn’t break the bank.

So what are you waiting for? Find out about your nearest fruit farm and away you go.

And if the thought of boosting your five a day while getting active in the open air fills you with dread, don’t worry – there’s bound to be a sticky cake or two to be found in the fruit farm’s cosy café!
