Ironbridge Gorge Museums | Queens Jubilee and Half Term Holiday activities

Details of the three main events happening at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums over the Jubilee Bank Holiday and school half-term holidays.

Jubilee Celebrations at Blists Hill Victorian Town: 2 - 5 June
Townsfolk at Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, Shropshire will be celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of their much-loved Queen Victoria with great style, pomp and pageantry over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 2nd to Tuesday 5th June. Each day will be a fitting tribute to the gracious lady’s long reign with an extravaganza of colour, music and entertainment, while the town will be decorated in patriotic fashion.

Royal Jubilee and Team GB at Coalport Ceramic Workshops at China Museum: 4 – 8 June
Join creative workshops at Coalport China Museum, near Ironbridge during the half-term and celebrate HM The Queen’s Jubilee and our own Team GB, who will be taking part in the London 2012 Games.

Make your own Medals to Celebrate the London 2012 Games at Enginuity: 2 – 10 June
Join a drop-in workshop to design and make your own pewter cast medals to celebrate the London 2012 Games at Enginuity, near Ironbridge, Shropshire during the half-term holiday between Saturday 2nd and Sunday 10th June. The daily Marvellous Metals sessions will run from 10.30am until 3.45pm and cost £2 per medal for materials plus admission.

Price and opening times:
A great value Annual Passport Ticket allowing entry into all ten Ironbridge Gorge museums, valid for twelve months and unlimited return visits, costs £23.25 per adult, £18.75 for the 60 plus, £15.25 for students and children and £64 for a family of two adults and all their children aged up to 18 years in full time education (terms and conditions apply); under 5s free. Activities and workshops vary day-to-day and some carry an extra charge in addition to the museum admission fee. Individual museum entry tickets are also available and the museums are open 10am-5pm daily.
