The competition is open to people of all ages and abilities, and welcomes teams of four players as well as individual entries.

Bacon sandwiches and hot drinks will be served in the morning followed by an 18-hole tournament on the beautiful golf course. In addition during the day there will be longest drive and nearest the pin competitions while a dinner featuring a prize presentation and charity auction will end the day.

Trevor Williams, Chairman of the Trust’s Local Committee, who is organising the day commented: “This is always a popular day which provides good company and entertainment. We welcome businesses and other groups to enter and to help us raise money for the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.

“In the current economic climate, it’s even more crucial to support the Trust so that it can continue its charitable work of education and heritage conservation within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

“There is also the opportunity to sponsor a tee or a hole, and if anybody would like to donate a raffle or auction prize, that would be fantastic.”

Team entry is £160, or individuals can take part for £45 per person. For further information about the event, or to obtain an entry form, please contact Gemma Aston, Interim Fundraising Manager on 01952 435 992 or emailfundraising.manager@ironbridge.org.uk.
