FREE entry to Ironbridge Museums

Ironbridge Museum have generously announced two dates in March when museum entry will be free!

 

The first is in time for Mothering Sunday when Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, is inviting all mums to come as their guest on Sunday, 6th March when they can enjoy a Victorian-style Mother’s Day.  Admission to the Victorian Town will be FREE for mothers, when accompanied by another full-paying adult, on that day.

To make the day extra special, pre-book mum a decadent Victorian High Tea, including a glass of Prosecco, delicious sandwiches, pastries and cream-filled scones along with a pot of Earl Grey tea for an additional £14.95 per person.  Afternoon tea must be pre-booked by calling 01785 252247 or at sales@jenkinsonscaterers.co.uk

Other family activities include candle dipping – you can use Victorian techniques to make multi-coloured candles to take home; take part in a lesson in the School House at 12noon and join-in a sing-a-long in the New Inn at 1pm and 3pm. 

But the FREE entry dates don't stop there! 

The second FREE Entry date will be free on March 19 at attractions such as Blists Hill Victorian Town, Coalport China Museum and Jackfield Tile Museum.

The FREE entry is part of the 30th anniversary celebrations that will be enjoyed throughout 2016.

Open 10am to 4pm Blists Hill is one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums. Some activities carry an extra charge in addition to the museum admission fee.
