An independent test comparing nitrogen inflation with compressed air using 54 vehicles delivered the following results.
54 vehicles were used.
33 were inflated with Nitrogen and 21 with compressed air.
1. Tyres inflated with Nitrogen ran 26% more miles before having to be replaced
2. Tyres inflated with Nitrogen gave 48% more miles before failing
3. Tyres inflated with Nitrogen had a smaller failure percentage than those inflated with compressed air. 30% compared to 57%
Apparently Nitrogen Inflation can also deliver fuel economy saving up to 5%.
There is also no corrosion on the inside of the wheel due to the absemce of water vapour.
