Light & Feminine

One of the hottest looks for eye wear, soft, translucent colours with feminine touches. Whether you prefer sophisticated smooth ovals or oversized glam shapes both are key for this lady like statement. Emilio Pucci epitomises this style by using samples of their vintage prints to stunning effect on the sides of a frame. The swirls of sapphire and aqua blue complimented by elderberry purples are perfect for an individual but classy look.

Iconic Cat Eyes

These cheeky rule-breakers are back on trend. You'll either love or hate these daring shapes. Futuristic cat eyes demand attention, especially in chunky acetates and bold colours. William Morris has created this style to great effect with accents of colour and even animal prints. Another key feature is embellishment with over the top gems and jewellery inspired temple detailing to emphasise the up swept look. Mary J Blige and Katy Perry have adopted this style recently and look stunning – pure spex appeal!

Retro-Round

Probably the most recognisable eye wear trend of the moment. Round frames have come full circle again from the 60's. These John Lennon inspired glasses will inspire a new generation of visionaries, its all about the round shape. This can be a hard one to pull off and isn't for the faint hearted. The classic key hole bridge is another feature in this shape, definitely producing a statement piece. Ray ban and Converse have re-produced these key looks in warm, earthy tones and quintessential tortoiseshell . Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp carry this style with panache-its preppy, individual but above all, very cool!!

Bold and colourful

White and black frames are so last season now its all about colour.

Be bold with deep Cadbury purple, emerald green, electric blue and my personal favourite pillar box red. With S.Oliver frames you can even have all 4 with front and sides all a different colour!

Ray ban use classic designs and put a contemporary twist by using a shot of colour on the inside of the frame. Purples, reds, greens and blues they all update a classic look bringing it up to date.

Polo by Ralph Lauren uses bright, bold sides with classic fronts if you’re not keen on a full colour explosion. Its an option for the more conventional of you, who are also keen to explore your more adventurous side!

The Danish brand Pro Design blends bold colouring with exquisite detailing. Using the brightest of purples, blues and pinks as accents of colour they turn a classic shape into a work of art. Comfort, style and colour what more could the specs wearer wish for?
