Cyber Monday is the marketing term for the first Monday after Thanksgiving and the day when shoppers go "online" to grab a bargain and do the bulk of their Christmas shopping.

If you're shopping for a laptop, iPhone, iPad, toys or games, Cyber Monday works on the same principle as Black Friday but the deals are online only.

We have some great tips for shopping online and preparing for Cyber Monday:

  • Plan Ahead - make a list and check it twice.  This helps avoid confusion if you're purchasing multiple items;
  • Print and save all confirmations of your purchases - this helps with returning items and verifying bank statements;
  • Only shop with retailers you trust - if the price really looks too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Only shop at sites that offer free shipping - many do on Cyber Monday;
  • Compare prices through a comparison site to ensure you're getting the right deal;
  • Understand the retailers return, warranty and exchange policies - read the fine print;
  • Double check your purchase before you submit your order.

If you don't like the hustle and bustle, pushing and shoving of Black Friday, sit back and relax in the comfort of your own home and grab the offers on Cyber Monday as they happen.

According to the Mirror, the big electronic retailers who will offer some great goodies include:

  • AO.com
  • Appliances Direct
  • Argos
  • Currys
  • Maplin
  • Amazon

Don't miss out, get your list ready today!
