The Black Dyke Band, under Director of Music Professor Nicholas Childs, makes a return trip to Bridgwater on Saturday the 25th of June at 7.30 pm. The band will perform in the magnificent setting of St. Mary's Church ahead of their next-day appearance on the Pyramid at the Glastonbury Festival when they open the Legends Day.
Professor Childs commented," We are always pleased to visit Bridgwater where we receive such a special welcome and to play in the beautiful setting and acoustic of St. Mary's Church".
In demand worldwide, Black Dyke Band is recognised as one of its foremost ensembles presenting innovative music programmes that appeal to a wide range of tastes, from original works to classical, film, and even a touch of jazz. "An experience you're unlikely to forget," wrote one critic. "Brass playing of the absolute first rank; unfailingly musical, thrillingly virtuosic". If you're already a brass band fan, you'll already know that this ensemble is one of the wonders of the musical world. If you aren't, prepare to be amazed!
