I have coordinated Public Sector partnership working across the most deprived parts of Taunton Deane for the past five years. Aspects of our delivery included, attempts to involve local business into hard to reach areas, especially those that suffered from poor education, low skill base and high levels of unemployment. From a Business perspective, the Carly Press had little or no reason for supporting our cause, yet they committed fully, identifying that they had the potential to invest time, leadership and support, guidance and where necessary funding to support local projects, seeking to get people back into work, or to re-educate residents. The Carly Press were fundamental in guiding and backing the setting up of the Halcon Link Power project. Local unemployed residents, encouraged to get involved in the look and feel of their own community, clearing the area of discarded rubbish, shopping trollies, gardening and other environmental services. This project now generates its own contracts and has seen many of its members return to paid employment. Public Sector working in partnership with Local Business - sharing and developing skills and people. Youth projects - The Halcon Little Litter Pickers - again the Carly press supporting and ensuring communities can come together - a fantastic projects that now has similar projects springing up all over Taunton.

The folk at Carly Press are amazing. They’ve never missed a deadline (sometimes very tight), the designer I work with is absolutely brilliant, the staff are unfailingly friendly and cheerful – they obviously enjoy their work – and nothing is too much trouble. I’ve even had the managing director delivering five boxes of magazines to my house to make sure I got them in time for a meeting. It’s a genuine pleasure to work with them.

I have been using The Carly Press for a few years now for both charitable work and now for my own business. I have always been incredible impressed with their communication, customer service and quality. I have always received fast responses to my queries, been invited in for face to face consultation at no extra cost to discuss exactly what I'm after and even at times I've put forward what I'm after via email and left it when the team I know they will produce just what I'm after and are always flexible to ensure the customer is receiving the best service. They have always been efficient and happy to change a detail of a product here and there to make sure I am absolutely happy with an order and nothing is too much to ask. They offer ideas when I can't quite decide what I'm looking for with an order and work with me from first contact right through to collection, even keeping some original artwork safe when I forgot to collect it oops!

Wow! What a company! Such generosity and great expertise in the production of the SAV picture book from my watercolour illustrations. This book tells Lloyd Fouracre's story and tackles emotional awareness and helps primary aged children begin to understand the effects of alcohol on decision-making. Carly Press donated the graphic designer's time and the first print run of 30 copies to the charity. A powerful message here from the printers too!
