5 stars for customer service. We bought two lovely carpets from Carleton Lord for the bathroom and stairs. Unfortunately, the stair carpet we received was the wrong shade and we didn't see it until it was already laid. I phoned Carleton and was offered a choice of a replacement carpet in the right colour or £100 compensation which was about 50% of the original price. There was no fuss - they accepted that it had been an error on their part and did what they could to fix it. They wouldn't cover the cost of the refit but they didn't do the fitting to start with and I think what they did do was perfectly reasonable. All a bit of a shame - as I said, lovely carpet and it was a good price, but entirely too light a colour to survive on the staircase. All in all, I'm very happy with the service.

The carpets were very cost effective and have been admired by all and the admonition to the fitters to take care in cutting to spare pieces for the landing and stairs resulted in a seamless look at an economical cost.
