Katharine came to do a TTouch session with my little Yorkie, Simba, who is tiny, very touch sensitive and is slowly recovering from a spinal injury which had made him super-reactive with other dogs on his rehab walks.
Katharine gave him lots of time, and it was marvellous to see how Simba became relaxed and allowed her to gently touch him all over. It was interesting to watch Katharine doing TTouches around Simba’s face and jaw, as he normally doesn’t like to be touched there. And from that experience, I have now been able to do those TTouches as well.
She also showed me how to use TTouch body wraps to help him feel secure in his body. Having watched her at work, I’m now able to do the T Touches and wraps, which I feel are aiding his recovery.
The session wasn’t just about TTouches for Simba, though, as Katharine provided some great suggestions on how to prevent Simba from jumping off the furniture while he recovers from his injury. She also showed me a method to help calm him if he starts to lunge and bark at other dogs on our walks. This is most helpful as it helps me to stay calm and is gradually reducing the reactivity.
I am grateful to Katharine for her support. I found it so useful to watch Katharine doing the TTouch, and now feel I am able to do more myself, especially as I have now joined her 6-week online course.

I attended Katherine's workshop an Introduction to T Touch with my Spaniel, Katherine took the time to get to know my dog before the workshop on what we would like to get out of the day and any sensitivities. Having a sensitive girl it was a lovely calm and informative day where Katherine had set up an area in which my Spaniel could really relax but still be totally involved which meant so much to us both. She took the time to explain all the exercises in a fun, relaxed environment and made us feel very at ease so thankyou from us both. If anyone has a chance to attend one of these workshops I would highly recommend

I took the TTouch introductory course with Kathryn as my Border Collie was suffering from stress and was very scared going out. The course helped me in ways I was not expecting. It helped teach me to pause and wait and give my girl time to think and process things on her own. This helped her make choices and thereby gain confidence and helped me relax and trust her.
I have used the circles and slides regularly in building trust and confidence.
She is now out and off lead. We haven't resolved all the issues she faces but have learnt that with time and patience most things can be overcome.
Great course with an encouraging and helpful teacher

Kathrine has worked wonders with my anxious, canine compulsive little spaniel! From her brilliant TTouch techniques to help us both calm and relax to some muzzle training which is broken down into little steps that is fun for your furry friends but achievable and positively rewarding. Kathrine s commitment doesn’t just finish when her sessions end! She is committed to each and everyone of her clients and is always at the end of a message with a speedy response. Her help, support and guidance is absolutely priceless and I honestly can’t thank Kathrine enough. One very happy client! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 🙂🐾

I undertook Canine Support's Fear of Fireworks course last year. As a former teacher, I found the online sessions combined with the learning platform incredibly helpful and informative - it is really well organised and very accessible, and you can go through it at your own pace. You also have lifetime access, which is amazing, so I can revisit which I will do this year. The course really changed my thinking and approach as to how I support my dog, who is fearful of loud noises, and it also introduced me to Tellington Touch, which I am thankful for.

I got a tremendous amount from the course, and Katharine's delivery style is excellent, and I would highly recommend it as would my pooch!

Me and my dog attended a Tellington TTouch® course with Katharine from Canine Support in Wellington, Somerset – and wow, what a day! 💛

As a professional dog walker, I’m always looking to learn more about how to help the dogs in my care feel calm, confident, and safe. This course couldn’t have come at a better time. The TTouch techniques Katharine taught us are gentle, non-invasive, and incredibly effective at helping dogs who might be anxious, reactive, or just unsure in new situations.

I’ve already started using what I learned with the dogs I walk daily – especially the ones who struggle with new environments, car travel, or seeing other dogs. Just a few simple touches or calming techniques can make a HUGE difference on a walk. It’s not about “training” in the traditional sense, but about creating trust and helping dogs feel more grounded. 💫

My dog absolutely loved it too – she was calm, relaxed, and totally in the zone by the end of the day!

Katharine is so knowledgeable and kind – she creates such a safe, supportive space for both dogs and their humans to learn and grow.

🐶 Whether you’re a fellow dog walker, pet professional, or just want to support your dog better at home, I can’t recommend her courses enough. ✨

If you ever get the chance to book onto one of Katharine’s workshops at Canine Support, do it! 🙌
It’s one of the best things I’ve done this year—for both my work and my bond with my dog. 💕

My experience with Katharine has just been so amazing. I loved the simple and effective ways she teaches the TTOUCH techniques in the course, her friendly and approachable personality, down to earth with a sense of humour which helps a lot to warm up to new people and take things lightly. I love her genuine interest to help, encourage and support people throughout the course and afterwards. Great pleasure attending the course, I have learned a lot and now having fun practicing. I would definitely recommend Katharine @caninesupport.co.uk if you are looking for someone honest, reliable and knowledgeable that will support you with care in your journey with your dog.

Katharines Walking in Balance workshop is for anyone who has a dog that pulls hard on the lead and every piece of equipment that is meant to reduce pulling has been tried & either failed or had limited success. I reached a stage where I didn't know what to do next then spotted Katharines excellent course Walking in Balance which uses a different approach to the pulling...she teaches TTouch which seems to have positive effect right from the start, there was also lots of other tips, techniques & advice avaiable. We still have a long way to go but truly believe with some hard work and support from Katharine we will be able to achieve some loose lead walking which will be amazing as going for walks has been out of the question for the past 2 years due to my strong springer spaniel becoming over excited & dragging me all over the place as soon as we leave the house. Katharine is very knowledgable and the course is well organised ...a really enjoyable day for both dogs & their humans 😀

Great workshop on loose lead walking. Very informative with loads of opportunity to practice skills in person. Small group meant there was time for one to one attention. I would highly recommend this course.

I enrolled onto Catherine's Fear of Fireworks Course to help my Staffordshire Bull Terrier Hugo through fireworks season and beyond because he suffers from severe anxiety with fireworks, agricultural bird scarers, gun shots and loud explosive sounds in general. The course focuses on activities and techniques to calm and reassure your dog and Hugo responded particularly well to the TTouch techniques and zoopharmacognosy that came up as part of the discussions in the group. Catherine's course not only helped reduce Hugo's anxiety but it made me much more mindful as to how I touch him not only when he's anxious but also in general, which has definitely strengthened our bond. The course had not 'fixed' Hugo (I wasn't expecting it to as his responses are extreme) but it has given us a structure to better manage his response to the triggers. An added bonus is that the learning materials remain available to revisit whenever is necessary. I would highly Catherine as her passion is second to none and the community she fosters is hugely positive and motivating. Thank you Catherine, from Michelle & Hugo

I loved doing the Ttouch course online with Katharine - the Zoom sessions were excellent, very informative and interactive and fun! I appreciated Katharine's sense of humour and her ability to put everyone at ease in the sessions, and ensure that everyone had chance to participate and get what they needed from the course. The app is really easy to use and very helpful in viewing the resources in bite-size pieces using my phone. I can't recommend the Ttouch course enough - so simple yet so effective.
The ongoing support for me, Max and DJ has been far more than I expected and I'm so grateful for all the help and advice. My old boy Max and scared little DJ have been helped so much, which has helped me to feel more in control.

Katharine is a brilliant trainer and I feel so lucky to have found her. I have a terrier who can be reactive to other dogs and is generally quite lacking in confidence and the difference since we started working with Katharine is amazing. Katharine always takes time to understand what makes me tick and her enduring patience and ability to come up with new ideas to try is what keeps me going on the tough days. We’ve done her Loose Lead and Connection course, and ACE Freework course and both have been absolute game changers. It all takes time and for us is very much baby steps, but if you follow Katharine’s thoughtful advice the results do follow. It’s hard to explain Freework if you’re new to it, so I’d say just go and check it out! I’d done a few bits before, but the way Katharine explains and applies it to every day life was what made the penny drop for me and now it's my new favourite thing! We love being part of her private Facebook group (even though I’m not a Facebook person)! The people in the group are kind and supportive and the monthly Zooms are a lovely session where we share our struggles and have a few laughs along the way, and always come away having learned something new.
I know it’s a minefield out there when trying to choose the right trainer, but if you want the personal touch and someone with a genuine desire to help dogs and owners equally, then you have a gem in Katharine and Canine Support.

Katharine's online courses are excellent - very accessible, down to earth and with realistic goals. It is really good to be able to revisit the modules and to have them as reference . The one to one zooms have been invaluable with Katharine always coming up with innovative and helpful suggestions to resolve issues, boost confidence and give reassurance that one is doing the best for your dog. The monthly Bark to the Future zoom meetings are brilliant to exchange ideas and know that you are not alone - above all see the funny side of the ups and downs of dog ownership which is seldom straight forward and can be quite isolating if your dog has difficulty coping on some days.

The advice we have been given from Canine Support has made a significant difference to our dog. She has gained confidence and is not as reactive as she used to be. The group is full of lovely members who all support one another. Katharine is extremely knowledgeable with issues regarding our dog and is always contactable and if we dont get to speak to her, Katharine replies promptly with sound advice. Thoroughly recommend Canine Support.

I’m now on my second course provided by Katharine Brunsch at Canine Support. It is a really unique offering in a crowded marketplace of dog behaviour specialist and training, and I say that based on experience of having engaged more than one in person behaviour specialist meeting. The way these tend to go is that you pay quite a large sum of money for a couple of hours where your dog doesn’t exhibit the behaviours you want to demonstrate and you get overloaded with information in a single session without a digestible way to move forward.

Canine Support is very different – it’s a fantastic combination of genuinely useful resource materials in an almost eLearning fashion with lots of useful videos, a dedicated Facebook group and most importantly, is then backed up by weekly Zoom calls and 1:1 calls if required.

I completed the ‘Fear of Fireworks’ 4 week mini course designed to prepare your dog for fireworks. We thoroughly enjoyed it, learnt a lot and it absolutely worked! I dread fireworks each year as my dog suffers from extreme anxiety, but all of the methods and techniques were really useful in making it the most successful bonfire night and my dog remaining the most relaxed through it all that he’s ever been. Thank you so much Katharine!

Katharine is such an amazing, knowledgeable and supportive trainer! The course itself was well structured with lots of practical training techniques throughout that were easy to implement into every day life. However, what stands Katharine apart from other trainers I've worked with is the care she gives to her students (both human and canine) and is available 24/7 to provide help and care if and when its needed. You can tell she's not just paying lip service, but really loves what she does and genuinely wants to go over and above in order for her students to achieve. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
