Experts have announced that a new dig is to take place where the site of the UK's largest haul of Anglo-Saxon treasure, known as the Staffordshire Hoard, was discovered.
Transport Secretary Lord Adonis has announced plans for a new high-speed rail network, featuring 250mph trains to run between London and Birmingham then on to the North passing close to Tamworth & Lichfield.

The campaign to buy the Saxon Hoard of gold artefacts for Staffordshire looks likely to reach its £3.3m target by April after raising £800k in three weeks, it has been claimed
