Josh Double of the Mumbles lifeboat crew was involved in rescue a day after 17th birthday.
He became a full member of the Mumbles lifeboat on his 17th birthday.
This is the minimum age that you can join the crew.
Josh then attended a rescue of two French tourists cut off by the incoming tide the very next day.
His dad Martin is the lifeboat's coxswain.
