With momentum gathering for the development of the Swansea Tidal Lagoon commentators are now speculating on the economic benefits that the project may bring.
In addition to the obvious opportunity that the construction phase will bring and the tourism uplift that the unique project will generate business leaders are thinking in terms of what other investment may come to the Swansea area.
By raising the profile of Swansea (further) incoming businesses will see that investment locally is a sound idea.
There are lower overheads associated with establishing and growing a business in Swansea.
There is a strong and able workforce as well as a plentiful supply of appropriate workspace.
The road links are excellent and hopefully continuing to improve.
The university and other further education establishments are forward thinking and also looking to develop even closer links with industry.
But most of all the environment that we operate in is second to none.
This has been shown with recent surveys that consistently put Swansea right up there as a place that people want to live and work.
