The competition to see who is nominated UK city of culture is really hotting up.

There will be a celebration of the Gower surfing culture with the holding of the Gower Open.
The bid carries a huge celebrity endorsement from Port Talbot born actor Michael Sheen.
Sir Peter Soulsby - the mayor of Leicester ( one of our rivals for the nomination) recognised that the Swansea Bay bid was a strong one.
