Gower MP Martin Caton has called for a review of tax rules for visitor accomodation.
Apparently the tax rates that are applied to visitor attractions are out of kilter with those applied in the European Community.
On average tax rates applied to accomodation costs abroad are less than 11% compared to the 20% VAT rate in Wales.
Whilst it's extremely unlikely that things will change anytime soon it really does highlight some of the unlevel playing fields that our small businesses have to compete on.
But never mind the sun continues to shine!
