A survey recently asked people whether they preferred Castle Gardens as it is now or as it was then?
The Gardens used to be exactly that - gardens.
Now of course they are a concrete amphitheatre where people can gather and enjoy the weather.
There is also of course a big screen that has come in handy for watching the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.
Then there was a formal garden with flowerbeds and manicured paths.
It seems that the consensus is that people are keen to revert to traditional gardens.
It will not happen but on the other hand it does make you wonder where the momentum for change comes from.
Bear in mind the projects that are on the go at the moment eg the Boulevard...
