Swansea University is piloting an anti binge drinking initiative. Unfortunately with the start of a new academic year in University is the temptation to over indulge on the drink front.
With the opportunity to make new friends and join up to clubs and societies is the chance to perhaps take socialising to an extreme level.
Swansea University are keen to take a lead and do something to counter this drinking culture.
In future on campus promotion of 'heavy' social events and the attendent advertising linked to heavy drinking will be restricted.
The Student's Union and the University are working tiogether on this initiative both recognising that the binge drinking culture is unhealthy and antisocial and damaging the image of the University and it's students.
