Swansea City Council keen to put in place Snow Wardens in local communities.
The idea is that they are a point of reference when the severe weather hits.
They will coordinate gritting of paths and ensuring that checks are made on the more vulnerable residents in the community.
The call has gone out to Community Councils and voluntary groups to find public spirited people to put themselves forward.
