In a twist to the norm an area of Gower land will be reclaimed as salt marsh.

In a part of North Gower the sea defences have been damaged by the weather.

The environment authorities in Wales have decided to allow the sea to wash over the land at high tide effectively creating a new salt marsh.

The hope is that it will attract new colonies of wildlife to breed and settle there.

Of course the sheep have learned to adapt to that environment too and created the distinctive flavoured lamb that the are is famous for.
