Swansea Council have announced that they are increasing traffic wardens hours in a bid to cut anti social parking.
Traffic warden's will be on patrol until 10pm in new plans revealed by the city authorities.
They claim that the action is in response to public complaints of unreasonable parking including use of resident only spaces.
Of course some would argue that the action will boost the council coffers in this a time of budget cuts.
Swansea is currently an authority that is one of the most zealous in pursuing motorists collecting nearly £2million in fines in the last year.
In addition the council will be investing in a car with a with an automatic camera that will record incidents of illegal parking eg outside schools and follow these up with prosecutions.
