Swansea City Council have announced additional Council Tax help for pensioners.
The Welsh Assembly has provided local government support funding.
The City Council have decided that a worthwhile way of utilising the monies is to help up to 3000 pensioner householders.
This will mean that each will have additional Council Tax support to the tune of £105.
With continued pressure on household budgets this is welcome relief.
For anyone who needs help in interpreting their bills they are urged to contact the Benefits Advice team at the council.
All eligible householders will be identified automatically from central records.
