A dog had a very lucky escape when he slipped off the cliffs at Mewslade.
The dog running along the clifftop managed to fall into the sea.
Whilst the dog was okay it could not scramble back out of the water.
The lifeboat service was mobilised and a crewman was dispatched to grab the animal.
Everyone returned to dry land no the worse for the adventure and the dog was returned to it's gratful owner
