There is now a gathering debate as to what Swansea should do with the Civic Centre.
The council are looking to make huge savings over the next couple of years and one very possible option is to sell off the Civic Centre.
The site is acknowledged as being one of the best in the city.
With large car parks and an office complex that currently houses most of the council's functions the site iof sold off lwould lend itself to a variety of very valuable uses.
However the council would need to move to alternative accomodation and that is the key issue.
There is spare office space around the city but questions remain about suitability and the costs of moving.
Some hard choices will have to be considered.
