The search for savings at the council continue in Swansea.

Speculation continues about the possible sale of the flagship Civic centre council headquarters.

These offices in possibly the best location in Swansea are continually being touted as a major means of the council trying to balance the books if they were to be sold.

With a deficit of £70 million to sort out all options are being considered.

Now attention has turned to the former Lliw Valley council buildings.

These now belong to Swansea City Council who have about 170 staff working out of the massive complex.

The premises are now to be put up for sale.

They are located close to the M4 but also provide for easy access to the city centre.

Presumably they can put to a variety of uses and occupying a prime site will hopefully command a decent price for the Swansea taxpayers.
