The new leadership in Swansea council have had a change of heart about selling school playing fields to developers.
Following massive pressure from local residents and parents the council have had a rethink about selling off land for housing.
It;s a great victory for the locals in Loughor and Pontarddulais and a huge win for the children.
However it does nothing to ease the council's headache over funding a huge gap in Swansea's finances over the coming years.
Unless they can magic up millions from elsewhere the likelihood of cuts to more services is looming ever larger.
