Swansea City Council in an effort to balance the books  have put a lot of property up for sale or lease.

These have included property such as the Swiss Cottage in Singleton Park.

This famous little building caught fire a few years ago and then stood derelict.

A programme of refurbishment has just been completed and now the building has been offered for lease.

it is anticipated that any new owner would look to develop a cafe/ coffeeshop business from the building.

Any change of use would have to be approved by Cadw -the Welsh heritage authority.

This has not deterred several expressions of interest from people interested in taking it on.

Additionally there is a lot of interest in other council owned property including a unit in the Marina and at Bracelet Bay.

If it helps with the budget and means that services are not affected it's got to be a good thing.
