Swansea proud recipient of six awards for excellence in public parks.
A survey of parks and open spaces in wales has seen Swansea receive the accolade of Green flags for six of it's parks.
The survey takes account of cleanliness, variety, features of interest for young and older users as well as the quality of the environment.
The parks recognised included Brynmill,Trewyddfa and Clyne Gardens.
The Council have placed a lot of emphasis on upgrading the city's parks and this has included revamping children's play areas as well as providing bird boxes and other facilities to encourage nature and wildlife.
Sounds just the job for the summer!
