Swansea Council announce a big investment in school traffic safety measures.
A total of £550000 is to be spent on speed reduction and traffic calming measures outside Swansea primary schools in Townhill and Mayhill.
The improvements have been long campaigned for and will include measures for better pedestrian safety.
The monies have been made available from the Welsh Assembly and will be used to implement variable speed limits outside the schools - 20mph at key times and 30mph at others.
