RNLI's huge investment in coastal safety

Revealed today that the RNLI invested a total of £53m in safety improvements on Wales coastline.

A large part of this money has been spent in Swansea Bay and Mumbles.

The crew at Mumbles have moved into a new boathouse and this will house the new lifeboat that has also been delivered this year.

These state of the art boats cost in excess of £2m but ensure that the servce provided by the volunteer crew is of the absolutely highest standard.

The RNLI are heavily reliant on public donations as well as targeting the local organisiation to fundraise in the locale.

In Mumbles the local target is to raise £126000 this year.
