Morriston Hospital is leading the way in Heart attack prevention treatment.
The pioneering treatment at the Cardiology Centre at the hospital is hailed as a huge step forward in the prevention of heart attacks in the future.
The procedure involves the widening of arteries as standatrd practice after blood clot treatment.
Whilst obviousy skilled and complex the work is apparently straightforward and will soon be common practice.
The expectation is that the procdures will be rolled out worldwide using the techniques honed and developed in Swansea.
